WW1 1914-15 Star Scots Guards, MP and KIA. 2/Lt.Hon.C.T.Mills
1914-1915 star named to ' 2.Lieut:Hon.C.T.Mills S.GDS '. 2nd Lieutenant, the honourable Charles Thomas Mills was the son of Baron Hillingdon and became the youngest MP when he was elected as the conservative member for Uxbridge in 1910. Following an education at Eton and Oxford Mills became a partner in the firm Glyn, Mills, Currie & Co. and served with the Royal West Kent Yeomanry. Gazetted as a 2nd Lt in the Scots Guards in May 1915 he was killed in action on 06/10/1915 near Hulluch as part of the ongoing Battle of Loos. He has no known grave and is commemorated on the Loos Memorial.
Star in uncleaned condition and is accompanied by some preliminary research including MiC and CWGC copy records. A high profile casualty which would reward further detailed research.
