German WW1 Ersatz Bayonet EB47.

German WW1 Ersatz bayonet designated EB47 under the Carter classification. All steel hilt with working bayonet catch, un-shortened 310mm single-edged blade with a three-quarter length fuller below a flat spine with a sharpened 80mm upper edge. The blade terminates in a double-edged spear point. The spine bears a German inspection stamp. Bayonet and scabbard retain approx.60% of the feldgrau finish. Scabbard has some contemporary damage which does not effect the removal of the bayonet.
This example is in untouched condition having been purchased directly from the family with whom it has resided for the last 100+ years.
