WW2 New Zealand Memorial Cross - El Alamein.

New Zealand Memorial Cross in its original presentation box and accompanying note with original silk ribbon. This example was presented to the family of 16203 L/Cpl.John, Leon Herbert who was killed aged 32 on 23/10/42. Herbert from Otaki, Wellington was killed on the opening day of the Battle of El Alamein serving with the 23rd Bn NZ Infantry and is now buried at the El Alamein cemetery. Accompanied by CWGC certificate and burial records.
