SPECIAL ORDER OF THE DAY 2 MAY 1945.

This is the small A5 sized paper leaflet given to all servicemen by Field Marshal Alexander. It was issued to mark the end of the Mediterranean Campaign in defeating the Italians and started when the Allies landed in Sicily in 1943.
Obtained from the effects of Gnr. J.D.James who fort in N.Africa, Italy and ended in Austria. Was in Royal Artillery, mobile Anti-Aircraft. Paper has been folded to go inside pay book. Otherwise in very good condition. (Post free)
