Original material and card Haig Fund poppy. The Haig Fund was set up in 1921 with the intent of aiding injured and ex-servicemen. Fund raising was acheived by sale of poppies manufactured in a factory at Richmond, and in a factory at Edinburgh by disabled ex-service men. This example believed to be a wartime economy version that was issued from 1942.A good example of an emotive item.
