Uncommon WW2 memorial scroll to Major V.D.J.Saxon RASC who died on 24.03.1941 and is buried in Ismailia Cemetery, Egypt. Saxon was possibly a casualty of the opening of Operation Sonnenblume where Rommel pushed British forces back to the Egyptian border having bypassed Tobruk.
