VERY EARLY AUSTRIAN ISSUE THIRD REICH SUPPORTER BADGE.

Not had or seen one of these before, but it seems to be an early ‘Nazi party’ badge made in Austria for early supporters. Hitler declared ‘Anschluss’ in March 1938, and annexed Austria into the NSDAP. There was strong support for them prior to that date and this badge dates from then.
In enamels, black, white and red. With correct pin back and about the same size as a convention Nazi Party badge. In perfect condition. Made in Austria and has the maker mark R.Schanes Wein (Vienna).
Of course it has no NSDAP lettering to the front or RZM markings, as they were not part of this yet!
Great little badge.
