No.74MkII Anti-Tank Grenade ' Sticky Bomb '.

An uncommon example of the British No.74 MkIIAnti-Tank Grenade ' Sticky Bomb '. Featuring a two-piece bakelite globe ( that would originally been filled with nitro )and would have been covered with stockinette impregnated with adhesive. A bakelite handle contained the fuze and igniter retained by a steel handle and pin with attendant label warning thrower not to remove pin before throwing. The globes were originally covered by two hinged sheet metal hemispheres to protect the thrower from the adhesive and were then removed before throwing, they are unfortunately, no longer present, Also missing is the safety lever and safety pin, firing pin present. Handle marked ' No.74MkII '. Good, overall condition, strippable. Scarce.
