1914 Crawford's Hero Box.

Evocative and scarce WW1 survivor an example of a ' Crawford's Hero Box ' biscuit box which originally contained a biscuit assortment. This item was originally produced in 1914 and sold into 1915 and features a T.H.Townsend cartoon entitled ' the Incorrigibles ' which was originally published in Punch and to the reverse a series of endorsements. The original method of pasting the paper covers has led to foxing which in the case of the reverse has made it difficult to read. Scarce survivor.
