AN ORIGINAL LUFTWAFFE CUFF TITLE ‘ TANNENBERG’

A really hard one to find. 100% original blue wool cuff title complete with a few moth holes!
Worn on the right sleeve the ‘TANNENBERG’ title came from a historical German ‘Battle of Tannenberg’ which was between the Germans and Russians in August 1914.
The title was adopted by members of Aufklärungsgruppe 10, or reconnaissance group 10. Members of this unit wore it in commemoration of the famous WWI battle.
A full length title with evidence of being on a uniform. White script on dark blue wool backing. Evidence of several moth nicks here and there.
