WW1 City of London National Guard Volunteer VTC badge

A good original First World War period VTC gilt and enamel circlet bearing the initials ' C.L.N.G.V. ' Mounted to the centre with a City of London coat of arms with motto scroll ' Domine Dirige Nos ', the reverse double impressed with maker's details ' J.R.Gaunt & Son London '. Half moon lapel fitting to reverse. Excellent, bright condition with no damage to enamel. Diameter 24mm.
