Victorian 3rd (City of London) Battalion Volunteer tunic.

An excellent example of a red tunic for an O/R of the 3rd (City of London) Battalion, London Regiment (Royal Fusiliers) . Half lined red melton wool tunic by Samuel Bros, London with largely intact label to rear of jacket interior. White metal, QVC buttons with two white metal Royal Fusilier grenades to white piped blue collar. Both epaulettes embroidered ' 3 V flaming grenade R F '. White piped front with dark blue cuffs surmounted by a braid knot. Excellent condition, some damage to lining and one small moth hole to the reverse.
