A scarce example of a 1st Pattern Allgemeine SS Visor Cap for Officers. Made from quality black wool gabardine cloth, with white piping and black velvet capband to which is attached a silver washed M1936 Skull. This is surmounted by an alloy M1929 Eagle both of which are firm and clearly have not been removed or replaced. The old silver capcords are secured by silver-aluminium pebble finish side buttons Pattern finish fibre visor with the interior having a tan lining, with a partial celluloid diamond covering a manufacturer's trademark. The ventilated tan leather sweatband is intact with light marking. This example, previously acquired from Ulric of England is in excellent, moth free condition, with minor chipping and crazing to visor and light patination to skull.
