WW2 Luftwaffe white Topped flight Section Visor Cap.
An excellent example of the Luftwaffe white topped visor cap. White removable top, standard mohair centre band, yellow waffenfarbe for flight section to the upper and lower sections of the mohair centre band, surmounted by a matched set of aluminium eagle and cockade. Double oval buckle chinstrap with a ribbed edged peak with some minor congealing to the finish of the chinstrap. light tan leather sweatband shows light evidence of wear with two splits and one aluminium initial tag. Silk lined interior carries a celluloid diamond marked ' Stirndruckfrei Deutches Reichspatent ' . ' Stirndruckfrei ' was a system which reduced forehead pressure for the wearer & is only found in higher quality caps. Very light marking to white top with the cap having a pleasing ' shaped ' appearance.
