Scots Guards Officer Dress Cap.

A high quality officers cap of the Scots Guards from the Guards' preferred retailer of Edward Smith, Cork Street, Bond St, London whose mark is prominent to the centre of the silk lining.
Of pre-1936 manufacture with bullion facing to peak and bullion wire crown. Diced ribbon surmounted by a sterling, multi-piece Scots Guards badge by Ludlow. Badge patinated overall. Silk lined with leather headband and velvet forehead cushion with initials ' W.C.' inscribed to headband. In generally very good condition with some staining to ribbon which appears to have come from the layer of oiled cloth that covers the body interior under the lining.
