C1940s gilt and enamel lapel badge by an unknown manufacturer depicting a cockerel and the Latin motto ' Gloria Finis ' ( Conor above all ). The ' Fighting Cocks ' flew Hurricanes during the Battle of Britain before converting to Spitfires for operations in N.Africa and later Europe. Good, bright condition.
