WW1 Imperial German M.18 Trench Helmet.

Of the three main patterns of German WW1 steel helmets, the M.18 is the scarcest. This example is stamped ' G62 ' and retains much of it's original finish to the exterior shell. The inner M.18 steel liner band is untouched, complete with its three inner leather pads, complete with their inner horsehair pads which are manufacturer marked and dated. Inner rim has a size ' 62 ' and a further entwined ' AK ' stamped to the rear. This example is also complete with its carbine style chinstrap which again is manufacturer marked and dated. Excellent, clean example.
