British Pre/WW2 Brigadier's Cap.

Quality made Officer's cap for the rank of Brigadier or Staff officer. Probably pre war or early WW2 manufacture by Ranken & Co.Ltd., Calcutta. Silk lined with embossed leather protector ( named Ellison ) with a leather and velvet forehead protector. Fine bullion rank badge mounted on to separate red band with G.S. buttons retaining the leather chinstrap. Good, slightly dusty appearance with a speckling of moth damage which is largely confined to the top of the cap. Further research should reveal more about the original owner of this cap.
