Japanese 9mm Type 26 Revolver.
Uncommon example of the Japanese 9mm Type 26 revolver. Adopted in 1893 which provided it\'s designation, 1893 translates to the 26th year of the reign of the Emperor Meiji, the designation is stamped into the frame of the pistol \' 26 Year Type \'. This double action revolver served from the Russo-Japanese War through to World War II.
This example was built at the Koishikawa Arsenal and is marked accordingly and has final assembly and firing performance marks stamped on the butt cap. New spec.( deactivated 2001) deactivation with bullet heads being used to mask the cylinder blocking rods. Worn, but clean finish, with tight action. Scarce example with deactivation certificate.
