WW2 British Clam explosive charge.
British, WW2 Clam mine or bomb. Containing approx 200g of TNT/Tetryl explosive in a plastic body with magnetic \'holdfasts\' to the reverse to attach the bomb to any iron or steel surface. Intiated by an \'L Delay\' with a No.27 detonator this weapon was issued with a wooden plug in place of the delay as with this example. This particular example is in good overall condition with both the baseplate and both magnets present. Original markings to baseplate and rear. A section of the body to the reverse has a section broken off approx. 35 x 10mm and a small part of the fuse retaining clip is missing however, this does not detract greatly from this scarce example of special forces equipment-priced to reflect this.
