WW2 Japanese Type \'I\' rifle.
6.5mm calibre Japanese Type \'I\' rifle. Stemming from a mutual aid agreement between the three Axis powers the Type \'I\' was a design featuring characteristics of both the Japanese Type 38 and the Italian Carcano. Produced in Italy to an order placed by the Japanese Navy, the contract for 60,000 rifles was completed by 1939 and this example is typical.
In excellent condition with tight action and a high percentage of original bluing remaining. Unusually for Japanese weapons the wood has survived in similarly good order. An uncommon example.
DEACTIVATED available within UK only
